Leap Year Writing Challenge

The final Wednesday Writing Sprint for February will be on the 29th. You won’t get to write on this day for another four years.

In honor of Leap Year, we are going to challenge ourselves with something around the theme of 29.

For writers like Nathan Devlin, we will personally challenge him to write at least 29,000 words that day. :)

The rest of us will do something more manageable, like 2900 words. LOL

The main point is to be a writer and to really challenge yourself on this day, since it only happens once every 4 years.

Be sure to look for that post next week. Go ahead and leave a comment so your comments will be approved beforehand. Some of our writers are in different time zones, so the sprint post goes live at 9:00 pm CT on Tuesday night.

Have a great week!
Patti

    Hey Patti

Looking forward to it and seeing if Nathan can do that challenge! For me I will totally be writing for my PLR store all day. Whether it’s 29,000 words or 29 articles I want to do something big on that day!

I keep hearing people saying that I’m supposed to be writing 29,000 words next week. I like the way I’m the last to know! I don’t really think I could manage 29,000 words. Not without a paramedic on standby! :)

Is it even possible to write 29,000 words in a day? I’m not sure. Maybe if the research was already done. Or if it was something that I already know about. Maybe. Hmmm…

I think I can do 29 pages. But I’m sure multiple people couldn’t do 29,000!

Nathan, I don’t think it’s possible either, not even for you. Sorry, but you are still (somewhat) human.

But, you did get a link to your site. :) I don’t think it matters any more, but last time I checked, I am a PR 4 blog.

Anyway, most of my dilemmas should be over with by the big challenge. I plan to write tomorrow too, but I’ve had that “girl” headache, so who knows. Maybe I’ll have a drink instead. LOL

Another lady does a 10K writing day each month. Not many people reach the target—Lois does a lot, but she plans ahead for it and I think it does take her all day. So yeah, 29K is a bit out of reach, I think.

I’m thinking I might shoot for 2 blog entries and 9 shorts. 2+9! LOL

Seriously, I haven’t given it much thought, but I’ll come up with an idea before the 29th. ;)

    I can’t wait! :D

Just curious, Nathan, have you ever kept a running total of words on your busiest writing days?

I’m hoping to be back in the game for next Wednesday. I think shooting for 2,900 words will be my aim, though the best I’ve ever done was around 2,400 a couple years back for NaNo.
