The new year is almost here. I’ve spent the past week or two getting plans ready, deciding on my direction and where I want to go with everything.
Tiffany Dow has issued a challenge in the Warrior Forum that I’ve joined. Several people have signed up and one of the main points across the board is to really get focused. It’s top of my list too and why I’ll be blogging and sharing more with my readers.
One of the first things I’m doing is going through Darren Rowse’s 31 Days to a Better Blog program. I haven’t started implementing much of it, but I will at the first of the year. Actually, I guess I am implementing since I’m writing this post. Go me!
I’m also taking a year long coaching program. I’m not ready to say what it is yet. I want to follow it a little more and decide if I like the style of the presenters.
Here is a bit of what I posted for the 365 Day Challenge:
Projects:
PLR Store
Newsletter
Blog
Possibly affiliate sites for boredom and amusement.
Focus:
list building
traffic
recommendations
making connections
Daily/Weekly:
write 1 page of plr
write 1 page of content
put together all the products/reports I already have
Other Areas:
Courses and Workshops – I’ve gained access for some workshops and stuff that I will be sharing if I think they’re good. I did not create them, but I do have rights to some of them or I will share a link to the ones I’m taking.
Monthly Themes – Each month I will focus on an aspect of business building and share my thoughts and findings.
- January – List Building & Traffic
- February – Affiliate Marketing
- March – SEO
- April – Copywriting
- May – Article Marketing
- June – Writing Reviews and six month recap
- July – (possibly revisit affiliate marketing)
- August – (possibly revisit list building)
- Sept. – Dec. – Still open
That’s pretty much the jist of my plan. I’m still putting it all together and need to work out daily and monthly action tasks, line out topics, and other stuff along those lines.
Let’s make 2012 a kick ass year and finally get focused and start creating our own success stories.
Are you with me? I’d love to hear your plans for the upcoming year. Just leave a comment in the section below.
To your success!

I haven’t really thought about my 2012 goals yet, but I’ll be sure to email you when I’ve got a list. Thanks for the motivational post, Patti! :D

As John Wayne would say, “You’re burning daylight, girlfriend!” Okay, I added the girlfriend part. LOL
Get that list made. It’ll be a great way to spend the weekend. You and Jeff can sit around, dream up big dreams and make plans. Have some popcorn and hot cocoa too. :)

Go for it! You have absolutely nothing to lose! I will share a story about that, either in the forum or as a blog post, today or within the next few days. :)

Well, I’ve got three goals. One is specific, and two are general.
1. Make my first screenplay pitch ready (to include learning how to pitch! LOL).
2. Work more on my Immortal Watchdogs and William Scarlet storylines (which includes writing more character journal entries, characterization, plotting, etc.).
3. Write more stories just for the fun of it! Sometimes, it gets to be a drag when I’m writing with the hope of publishing. I can’t lose sight of the fact that writing should be FUN! :)

I just love how you laid everything out in such an organized manner. Last year I tried a “Daily Theme” type of deal like Monday – Affiliate, Tuesday – Content/Article Marketing, Wednesday – Networking, Thursday – List Building…etc but I fell off the wagon.
I just may try it again this year but attempt harder at sticking with it! I am sooo with you on making 2012 a kick ass year!!

Thanks for stopping by, Aurelia,
I am looking forward to a kick ass year! I spent the past year in learning mode, aka information overload, and this year I want to do a few basic things, keep it simple, but put myself out there too.
I decided on a monthly theme because it seems easier to focus on. I’ve tried the daily theme and it flopped. I never know what I’ll be in the mood to tackle from one day to the next, so monthly seems more doable to me. :)
I also look forward to seeing us all grow this next year.
Let’s kick some butt!

Hi Patti,
I am also following along with Tiffany’s plan for 2012. I love the way that you are so organised with your monthly themes. I have my list of things that I want to accomplish for the year but I still need to figure out how to ensure that i actually get things done without getting distracted or bored.
Tomorrow will be spent figuring out some sort of game plan.
Good luck to you and have a happy 2012! :)

Thanks for stopping by Victoria. I look forward to us all being in the challenge.
I seem organized, but pulling it off may be another story. My basic plan is to keep things simple. If it starts looking complicated, I’ll back off and evaluate if it’s important or if I should keep doing things I’m already doing.
Best of luck to you in all your plans. Let’s kick this year right!
